New Release - Beautiful You

I am so excited to share my new kit with you! As Mother's Day has come and gone, I have been reflecting on the women in my life who have helped shape my character. I've also been thinking about how great it is to be a woman during this time. We have so many opportunities available to us. Anyhow...while I wax philosophical, let me show you the goods!

Here's a LO that I created of my wedding day. These are my besties Tara and Melissa. We never thought that three friends would work out, but with us, it did!
A LO by Christy: TheWerners - isn't little Penny the cutest? I love her layering here too! Here's one from Christine: alamama - I love this photo and how the colors really complement each other!
Here's one from Natasha: bcnatty - I LOVE how she has added a stroke to the word art and her shadowing is amazing! She also used Strung Out by Britt-ish Designs
Here's one from Krista: sahlink - isn't that so cute how she put the ribbon right around that precious belly?!
Here's one from Cyndi: Cyndi146 - look at those gorgeous eyes! What a doll! Cyndi also used my Paper Pieces Template Set.
Here's one from Kim: kimbytx - I LOVE everything about this LO! She's such an amazing scrapper! She also used a Circles of Love template by Denise Beatty Originals available in the store today too!

And last, but certainly NOT least! We have 2 from Stacy: shutch - two beautiful LOs of her two beautiful daughters! I love the earthy tones of the first one with a knockout photo treatment, and the second is so dear with the note from her daughter and her response. Really touching.

Whew - we made it! Here's a pretty little freebie for you! Click preview to download from 4shared.

Have a beautiful day!

New Release - Barcode Dates

I know it is so important to date my scrapbook pages, but it never fails that I think of the date at the last minute. That's why I LOVE date elements. They make dating my scrapbook pages so easy! And it becomes part of the design which I think is really cool. So I've made these little barcode dates (keeping in mind my passion for all things retail) to make dating your scrapbook pages a breeze! You can get them here at my shop. Here's a LO I created for Britt's Everyday Magic Challenge at ScrapMatters. We were supposed to scrap a ritual that we have. Every Wednesday I stop by McDonald's for a Diet Coke before play/craft group. I am so loving it now because they are back to $1 larges! Hooray!
Here's a super cute LO from melanie3boys from the ScrapMatters CT- I seriously cracked up when I saw this the first time!Have a Happy Friday and be sure to check out all the fun things that are new at ScrapMatters today.

Enjoy!

Yesterday's Speed Scraps

Yesterday I did 2 speed scraps - almost back to back! That's what I call fun! Here's what I created...
I love them both! Speed Scraps are such great inspiration. If you haven't ever tried one, check them out. ScrapMatters has a daytime and an evening one each week, and GingerScraps is having one everyday this month!

Speed Scrap tonight!

Stacy's hosting a Speed Scrap over at ScrapMatters tonight - hope to see you there! My fingers are crossed that I can make it too!

Oops!

I completely forgot to post about my Speed Scrap today! So I guess I'll just have to show you the LO that I created. I used the GingerScraps Designer collab called Modern Mommy. Now that I look at it, I want to go back and see if I can brighten up those pics. They look so drab. My computer (desktop) is having some overheating issues. I am not too happy about that since it is just over a year old. Dh is looking at it as we speak. Hopefully he can figure it out.

I Am Challenged!

I'm hosting four challenges over at ScrapMatters right now-yikes! Two of them started today. The first is our Grand Theft LO challenge. We are lifting kimpson's gallery. You can get all the details here.

The second challenge is one that I always do no matter how busy I get...it's called Past Matters. It's a challenge to get some heritage pages done. I scrapped this one about my mom using Andilynn's new kit Alvean's Beauty Parlor. You can find out more details here.

Come play along - it will be fun - I promise!

Dad's Day Quick Page Exchange

Now that my Mother's Day gifts are out of the way - thanks to the April QPE at ScrapMatters, I have decided that it is time to focus on Dads! This month we are so lucky to feature Tracie Stroud's Mod Boy kit - it's so fun and perfect for a wallet-sized QPE. I think it is going to be great to print out a bunch of little pics for dad's to put in their wallets, on their desks or in their cars! You could even laminate it and slip it in where a credit card would go.
I made 2 quick pages already - both pictured here. Come join in on the fun at ScrapMatters!

Happy [inter]National Scrapbook Day!

Welcome to the ScrapMatters.com [inter]National Scrapbook Day blog train! Wow - that's a mouthful! You have reached the beautiful midwest and are spending some time with me here in the suburbs of Chicago - not a tropical paradise, but it's home. You should have come to me from Haynay's blog at http://haynay.blogspot.com/

I just love that we are focusing on our own little idea of paradise for this blog train. Hands down, my paradise is on vacation with family. I love being able to spend time with our little family without the demands of everyday life. Everyone is relaxed and has such fun together. I guess this may change when Clark grows up and has a brother or sister or two, but for now, I love being able to enjoy our family time.

I hope you have enjoyed all the awesome brag book pages so far. I created mine from this LO of Jason and I while we were on our honeymoon. Our all-inclusive gave us one dinner at the nice restaurant where they made these beautiful and intricate desserts.

Everything is from the SM DT Collab called Hawaiian Happy Hour that is FREE with a $15 purchase. It's a huge kit, and it's beautiful!

And here's your brag book page! Hope you like it - Enjoy!

GingerScraps NSD Blog Train and Festivities!

Welcome, It's the GingerScraps' NSD Blog Train (if you are here before 8 pm PST, the other blogs aren't up yet...oops on my part!) You should have arrived at my blog from Marie's Blog. If you get lost along the way, go to Ginger's blog. She has the whole map!

Here is my part of the train! They are tumbler inserts that fits into your Starbucks coffee cups or hot chocolate cups in my case!

Link has been removed.

While you are waiting for 4shared to let you download, why not check out the Gingerscrap's forum? We are starting a Digi-Scrap Boot Camp on Sunday. Saturday is the last day to sign up and the challenges start Sunday! It's free, but you need to sign up to have access to the training and tutorials!

We are also hosting a speed scrap every day in the month of May! Did you know that a speed scrap a day will keep the bad mojo away? Check the Gingerscraps Blog for the Speed Scrap Calendar. Saturday night there will even be a "Who needs sleep? Night Owl Speed Scrap" hosted by Jen! Go sign up for Boot Camp it is going to be a lot of fun!
The next stop on the train is somewhere in the Gingerscrap's forum! Happy Hunting and Happy [Inter]National Scrapbook Day!

New Release Friday!

Design Star is over, and I am officially a ScrapMatters Designer Apprentice! How cool is that?! I am really excited to be working at such a wonderful place. If you haven't checked out SM yet, be sure to register and jump in with both feet on all the activities and challenges. Now is the best time too because of the [i]NSD celebrations.
I am happy to present my first kit in the shop - Family Game Night. DH loves game nights. His favorite game is Rook, but I always complain because I don't like to be his partner. OK...I know we're partners in life, but he always overbids and then we lose the game! Well, this kit is for him and his love of games!
Here we are during our latest game of Rook - notice the score sheet that puts us 245 points in the HOLE! Sorry - I just like to win. Everything is from Family Game Night except for the flowers by Britt-ish Designs.

I decided to create a freebie template for you based on the LO that I created with my new kit. Hope you like it!

Download Here

Enjoy! Be sure to come back next Friday for another new release - fingers crossed that I can pull something together!!
