I had an idea yesterday to make Clark some blocks. I used Sahlin Studio's explore.learn.grow. kit (new today at ScrapMatters). I think I like the way they turned out. Directions...

Cut blocks into desired size.
Paint blocks
Design mini LOs to put on blocks
Print and cut
Adhere LO to block using Modge Podge or something of the sort.

They were really easy! I'm thinking about gifts now. "family" blocks or "home" blocks... maybe even a last name or something. Anyhow, Clark loves them. He's already built several towers with them!

Birthday FUN!

Happy Birthday to me! Hooray for being 30! I just have to say that I am so lucky. I have some fantastic friends and the best family! I created this LO to celebrate my birthday. Everything is from Sahlin Studio. The kit is Loverly, and the labels are all from her Getting Started: Journaling Prompts. AWESOME stuff! The blended flower spray is from her Life's a Beach kit which I am pretty sure that I could use to scrap all of my water fun pictures!
And remember, Haynay is celebrating her one year birthday with ScrapMatters! I have a little giveaway posted on DST. Check this thread to find out how to win a $5.50 gift code to her shop.

Haynay's Birthday Party!

I'll be doing a giveaway at DSA on Monday, so stay tuned!

Other news: I've decided to take an "organizational" break. That is, I am organizing EVERYTHING! I heard about FLYlady a long time ago, but I never gave it a second thought. I've been feeling very harried/hurried/unorganized lately, and randomly I decided to check out her website. I LOVE it. I don't necessarily agree with everything, but I am a list person, and this website is like a dream come true. So now I am a declutter machine! I've been doing mass cleaning, painting, decorating, throwing away, giving away, etc. of the things in my house. It feels so good. I don't know if the garbage men like it so much, but I feel like I've been trapped by all this "stuff" and need to release it. I take a couple hours a day and tackle some pretty difficult areas. Slow and steady win the race, right? I'm going to tackle my hard drive too. I know I have a bajillion photos that are crap and need to swept away. I'll be back designing again soon. I have a kit all planned, but haven't started working on it yet. Soon!!!

Choo's the SM Birthday Blog Train!

Welcome aboard! You should have reached me from Tater's blog at I hope you're enjoying all of your goodies. A Perfect Picnic is such a fun kit to play with and it is free with $15 purchase at ScrapMatters during the birthday celebration.

I'll tell you that I am not one for picnics. I hate eating outside because of all the bugs. I have a totally irrational fear of bees and still run like crazy, screaming all the while if I see one near me. I try to tell myself that I could live without bees, so I don't eat honey. I know they do a lot of other great things other than make honey (pollinate, etc), but it is my own way of fighting against the bees. Crazy, I know.'s a little ribbon cluster freebie for you made from A Perfect Picnic! Enjoy!

Your next stop on this train is Jeni's blog at

Enjoy the ride and Happy Birthday ScrapMatters!

Happy Birthday to ScrapMatters! SM has a super fun weekend planned for their second birthday. I hope you've been able to enjoy some of the festivities. I am on vacation with my family, so I'm not able to join hoo! Family time is so much fun though!

I have some FUN new releases today. First is a collab that I worked on with Haynay Designs called Thoroughly Amused. It's perfect for those amusement park pics. It also seems to work really well for birthdays or anytime when you need bright, happy colors!! Be sure to stop by Haynay's blog for a little freebie as well!

I am also releasing today my work of HEART! I'm sure you know we are superhero nuts at my house (enough to name our son Clark). Since I have started designing, I have wanted to create a real superhero kit. Well, I got carried away and made 2! Good vs. Evil. That's the way it always is. And so...we have All American Superhero and Super Villains! They will be perfect for all of your superhero pics and other plots of world domination. You can grab one or the other or BOTH!
