Just another manic Monday

I can't believe its Monday already. Where has the time gone this weekend? My name is Wendy and I am part of Plum Dumpling Designs Creative Team. This week I wanted to share with you a layout that I made using Plum Dumpling Designs Group Therapy Template Pack, Indian Summer, Crazy Date Stamps and flowers from Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow click here for credits

Isn't it cute?

I love these photos that I captured of my children while waiting for the neighbors kids to get off the bus. My youngest was so excited to play on a playground while my oldest thought it was beneath her. Little did she know, the hour that we waited for the kids, she had so much fun playing with the equipment rather than on the equipment.

My favorite memory of that day was laying on my oldest daughter's lap, looking at the sky, watching the clouds roll by, talking about anything and everything. While it isn't fun living in the South 75% of the year, this time of the year is worth it all because there is no overheating or being too cold...its just perfect!

Did you like the layout in this post? I sure hope you did because today I would like to give you the quickpage of that layout for your own Indian Summer memories

You can download your quickpage here
Make sure you stop on by Plum Dumpling Designs store and see what is new this week

Let's take a walk...

down memory lane...

Hi there! Happy Thursday to you!
I'm merchi aka Karen here with a Throwback Thursday. This is when we feature a Plum Dumpling Design kit that maybe you haven't thought about it a while.
This week we're taking a look at On the Front Porch. I LOVE this kit!

I recently joined Mary's team, so I wasn't up to speed on all the goodies she had created lately...this one is just wonderful! I love all the "yesteryear" elements she included in this, all those things that remind us of America's front porch.

The layouts I recently did actually have nothing to do with the front porch, which just shows how versatile this kit is! My photos are actually lakeside on the 4th of July! Pretty cool, huh?

Doesn't the "porch" paper work really well as "dock" paper? I hope you've enjoyed this walk back in time with me! And just for fun, let's take a look-see at some layouts the "gang" has done...

Thinking Outside the Kit : Inspiration Wednesday

Megg here for this weeks inspiration! It's nice to have one kit or grab bag that has everything that you need to complete your page. That is just heaven! But more often than not, when doing my pages I will look for something that is maybe from a different kit. It's adding the right touch to your pages that make them perfect.

So my inspiration for this week is to think outside the kit! Try and use the kits that you have to their best potential by combining different styles to get a great page! There are no limits! Here is my page done from Halloween last year. Click on the link below to find them in Mary's store.

Inspiration Wednesday - Etsy Inspired

Hi everyone, it's Lynn here to bring a dose of Wednesday Inspiration!

Have you ever looked around Etsy before? I will admit, I am addicted to "window-shopping" there. They have a cool feature that enables us browsers like me to keep a visual treasury of our favorites, and then show off our treasury to others! I sometimes spend hours creating treasuries, full of beautiful coordinating items. I have found that a fun color scheme or theme can inspire me in my digiscrapping too.

So today, I made a treasury inspired by Plum Dumpling Design's gorgeous grab bag! Check it out:

And here's a look at the gorgeous grab bag:

DSD Blog Train - Choo Choo!

appy Digital Scrapbooking Day everyone!

I hope you are having an awesome day full of games, prizes and killer deals! You should have arrived here from Graham Like the Cracker's blog. For a complete list of stops, please visit the ScrapMatters blog.

Somehow, between Halloween and cooking and crafting and Christmas, Thanksgiving seems to get the least amount of notice from me especially since I don't have to cook the BIG dinner. But it is so important for me to reflect on what I have in my life and how thankful I am for it.

This time last year, my husband went into the hospital with pneumonia. We thought it was just a mild case to be treated with antibiotics. Well, he was put in the ICU almost as soon as he was admitted. Day after day we waited for news of improvement, but none came. His amazing team of doctors finally decided that it would be necessary for him to have surgery on his lung. The doctors and nurses couldn't believe that a 30 year old needed this surgery. However, as soon as he had the surgery, the infection started clearing up and he started getting better. Recovery was another long 8 weeks, but he recovered - thank goodness. His doctors remarked on how an older or less healthy man would not have survived the pnemonia or the surgery.

I am thankful.

For my loving husband. For my two handsome and healthy boys. For my faith. For my family. For my health. For my friends. For so much more.

I've created an embellished stacked paper for you today. It's made with the beautiful kit, Many Thanks, by the SM Designers. I hope you like it!

LINK HAS EXPIRED. The link will only be active for one week, so grab it now!!

Have a Happy DSD and an even Happier Thanksgiving!

Happy Inspiration Wednesday!!

Happy Midweek Everyone! Heidi here with the Inspiration for the week! I have been playing catch up on my Project 365 (or my digi-journal), so my Inspiration for you is this...take a few minutes to document your daily activities and journal a little about them. What was something new you tried, somewhere you go everyday, or something crazy that happened?! Journal about it this week so you don't forget the little things that happen in your life! Here's my catch up journal from September:

I used Mary's Adventure's in Reading:

Give Way Monday

Good Monday to everyone! If the weekend has to be over, I am glad that I can brighten your weekday with a freebie! To start with let me introduce myself! My name is Lynett and I am making my first blog post as a member of the Plum Dumpling’s CT.

I used the fabulous kit, All American Superhero! I think it is perfect, not only for character interactions like my page, but for any superhero Halloween picture that you might have! After I finished my page, I turned it into a quick page for all of you. I hope you enjoy it and get lots of use out of it!

Here is the page I based the quick page on!

And finally the quick page.
