Some Un-digi Designs!

I've been working on some un-digi projects as I get ready for our big road trip to Canada. My first project was upcycled from a pair of Jason's old jeans! Love that! I also bought about $3 in materials (Clark picked out all the colors and notions)! It's a Car Cozy. I read about this little gem at Homemade by Jill and also The Crafting Chicks. I am seriously in LOVE with this toy. I hope Clark likes it as much as I do! I used a paint marker for the numbers. It didn't turn out like I thought it would, but I like it just the same.

My second project was also from The Crafting Chicks. I zig zagged the pieces down and then around the edges of the felt. They just didn't seem finished enough around the edges since I zig zagged the pieces. I do know that you don't need to finish the edges of felt, hehe!
My next project was out of necessity. We bought this car seat tray table from Amazon, but when we got it in the mail, it was all foam. How are you supposed to color on foam? So I had Jason cut out a piece of MDF, and then I whipped up this little pillowcase for the MDF. It all fits really tight. This way we can change out the MDF if we need to or wash the pillowcase in the event of spills.
My last project is SUPER FUN! But it's a secret until 8/6! Come back and check it out then!

Good Wednesday to everyone!! Heidi here for this weeks inspiration. About 6 weeks ago, my son #3 was playing with his #1 brother and the tip of his thumb was cut off. He has been such a good sport through all of it and is recovering really well! I attribute a lot of that to his perserverance and his wonderful attitude...who has inspired you in the face of trial? Maybe you have been through something tough and you are proud of yourself for getting through. Scrap a LO and put down your feelings...it could even be a non-photo LO!

I will leave you with a LO of my son...and I will post another one Fri when Mary realeases a new kit (hint....hint...yeah!!)...

Inspiration Wednesday...

Megg here with a little bit of inspiration. We've had a lot of craziness with summer this year. Life has been chaotic, full of energy, fun and running everywhere. It's times like these that I cling to those moments of normalcy that remind you amid all that is nutty, things are good, and all is right in your world. It doesn't mean that you won't turn you head and find more craziness, or something else falling apart, but for that moment, everything is just in perfect balance. It doesn't happen often, at least it hasn't for us lately, but when it does - document it. And when you get around to it, scrap it so you can remember it forever.

When we look back on our lives, we won't remember every big holiday gathering, or birthday party. What we will want to remember is being together. Without all the bells and whistles, stress and contention. We were lucky to have one of these type of days a few weeks ago, right before my little girls 4th birthday weekend palooza. It was refreshing, it was amazing, and I used Mary's "Family Fun" to scrap it. You can see the layout below and if you like the layout click on the page for a direct link to her store where you can grab this super cute kit. Happy scrapping folks!!!

Inspiration Wednesday

Lately I have been enjoying making title clusters. I'm not quite sure why, but it may be because they are much smaller than a full layout to create and don't take as much time. Once they are done I have something that I can work my page around and takes care of that initial "I don't know where to start" panic that I sometimes get.

So here is my latest creation for you - a title frame cluster using Mary's wonderful "Family Fun" kit. Place it on a blank page and see what happens - fill the frame openings with photos, papers, or quotes. Experiment and have fun. Who knows what will happen until you try!

Enjoy...
Jan
