You've reached the Plum Dumpling Designs' He's My Valentine blog train...keep reading for your freebie!

I'm really getting excited about Valentine's Day, but I always have a hard time finding a kit that doesn't include pink - for some reason I just can't scrap a Clark LO with pink...call me crazy! So I've decided to come up with a masculine Valentine's kit for all of those husbands, sons and boyfriends that we love so much. The best part...you can use this kit for girls and 4th of July! Talk about multipurpose! Here is...

Getting Hybrid - Getting Organized

I'm so excited about ScrapMatters' new challenge called Getting Hybrid. This month we were all challenged to use our digi-scrap supplies to help us organize our lives and homes in some way. I've been doing a lot of thinking, reading, researching, experimenting with organization lately, so I was really excited about this task. I've slowly been introducing new systems into my daily routine. On my own, I came up with the idea that Monday would be my laundry day - it's been perfect. I usually don't have anything going on on a Monday, so I can take that day and knock out all the laundry. Then I found FlyLady. I really love some aspects of her philosophy like a clean sink and new towels each day. She also introduced me to the idea of a Home Management Binder which really keeps all our important info in one convenient spot. But sometimes I don't feel like FlyLady is a perfect fit. So I continued my search. I met with a couple of women from my church, and they shared with me ideas on menu planning and grocery shopping. What a mind-altering experience that was! Dinner is no longer my least favorite part of the day. Recently, I've found SimpleMom. I feel like I'm getting closer to my organizational ideal. I've taken her daily docket and her weekly checklist and created personalized versions for myself. I've also incorporated Ali Edwards' one word idea and created a little logo for myself for 2010: Progress (not perfection). OK...it's 3 words, but I'm looking at it as a one word title with a itty bitty subtitle.

So after all of that...here are my new daily planners and weekly checklist! I'm so excited to start using these. I've also put a little frog on the first most important task of the day. This is a reminder to eat my frog first thing in the morning - doing the least fun task of the day first so the rest of the day goes well.

New Release: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

I've had some fun things happen this week! I finished a new kit which is a BIG feat these days! I started working on a new kit...yes you heard that right! And we had our 20 week ultrasound for baby 2! He or she looks healthy and happy. I am starting to feel more flutters and kicks everyday. We've also started working on Clark's new room! I think we're just trying to get through the drudgery of January! Now onto my new kit! I started with some inspiration for doing a more basic/neutral P365 kit. Then I kind of went off course! I still like the way it turned out! So for those everyday memories, may I present...

Hooray for Scrapping!

It's so fun to be scrapping again. I can't believe that it's been so long! I have been reading The Digi Dares for a while now, but I have never submitted a LO. This week I decided to put aside the procrastination and "scrap outside the box" as they say. I have been feeling quite the designers' block lately so this is a reflection of those feelings.
This was from the first Speed Scrap of the year! We had to choose pics from over a period of time. I've been wanting to scrap our book club titles for a while, so again...I put aside the procrastination and got down to it!
And finally, here's last night's Speed Scrap. I almost thought I wouldn't make it, but dh finally left the house and Clark sat down to Madagascar! Thanks Jami for such great SS instructions - even #6.

Have a lovely day! No new releases tomorrow, but I'm working on a new kit - how's that for a little teaser.

New Release: Shopaholic and More

Happy New Year! If you've been read my blog, you might know that we had a rough end to 2009. However, 2010 is already looking up! DH is healthy and back to work, Clark is slowly managing to make it through the terrible twos, and I am getting back into my routine of scrapping and designing! This week I have 3 new releases! The first was a Speed Scrap Participation Prize. If you weren't able to make it to the Speed Scrap, you can pick up the Christmas Dipped Alpha in my shop.

The last two new releases are so fun! They celebrate my passion for shopping. I love being among the potential purchases. The original Shopaholic mini kit was created for a design class I attended. I've had several requests to add it to the shop, so here it is! I also decided that it needed a little something extra, so I created a little add on that coordinates with the original mini.
