Quickpage Exchange NOW!!

Hello to all of my friends in digiland! Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers over this past month. DH is home now and recovering nicely. The doctors say he should be able to go back to work after the first of the year. All of your comments and emails have really brightened my days and have given me such strength - thank you so much!
I just wanted to give a little bump to ScrapMatters' Quickpage exchange that started yesterday. Amanda (panders77) is taking over for me and has chosen this beautiful kit by Trixie Scraps: Yuletide. Think of how easy scrapping your Christmas pictures will be when you just have to drop the photos in an album of quickpages! Check it out at www.scrapmatters.com.

Update on Mary and her family

Update from Mary: Surgery went well. He's feeling much better despite the pain now. He'll be in the hospital for 3-4 more days at least. I'm pretty sure this is what he needed to turn this illness around. They think he might have had H1N1 which developed into pneumonia which developed into this other lung condition. Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers!

Thank you so much for sending prayers her way! I know she really appreciates it as well as her husband. Please continue to pray for him as he recovers and that Mary doesn't wear herself out taking care of him, their 2 year old and being in her 2nd trimester. Heidi

Prayers Needed

This is Heidi (scrappin5kids), Mary's CT Leader, writing to ask you to pray for Mary and her family. (I will just have to ask forgiveness later for some of the things I am about to post, but I felt it important...) Mary found out she is pregnant and has been very sick...that's why she has been a little MIA. She was starting to feel a little better and now her dh is in ICU with pneumonia. The drs are trying to find something that will help him, but they aren't having much luck. Please pray for them as they need all the help they can get. Thank you for the prayers in advance. I am sure Mary and her family are grateful.

Mary has been so busy with all of this she didn't even get to post her new item that came out on Friday. Here it is...it's super fun to play with!

New Release: Adventures in Reading and Add On

Are you a fan? Plum Dumpling Designs is now on Facebook! Check it out here and become a fan!

Anyone can tell you that I absolutely LOVE to read. I try to read as much as I can. I have a list 3 miles long of books that I'd like to get to one day, and as I slowly make progress, more good books are written. A never ending adventure, I think!

So to appease the many requests, I am bringing back the old Design Star favorite: Adventures in Reading. I decided I didn't want to just put that old thing in the shop, lol, so I made a little extra add on too. If you have the original freebie, and you want the full kit, you can just purchase the add-on. If you weren't able to get the freebie, here are your two options : )

Tip Junkie - Paper Crafting Week

While looking for Super Saturday craft ideas for a church activitiy, I stumbled upon this awesome site Tip Junkie! It has everything! Not only did I find a few GREAT ideas for Super Saturday, but I also was selected to be the digital scrapbooking "expert" for the site. More on that another day. But I'm really excited because next week is going to be Paper Crafting Week. Come join us for a fun time and cool crafts! Details follow:

Join us in the TJ Community October 5 - 10th for Paper Crafting Week! Ellie will start us off with the Project of the Week on Monday and Kelleigh will give away $75 in products on Tuesday. On Thursday you'll be able to interact with both of them and learn all that you can from their
expertise.

Paper Crafting Mom-preneur:

My name is Kelleigh Ratzlaff and I live in Dallas, Oregon (affectionately
called "little-D"), which is just west of Salem, the state capitol. My
gorgeous husband (11.5 years), Mitch, and I have 2 seriously amazing little
boys. I mean, they are AWESOME. Grant just started first grade and Cole
just started preschool. I like to call them "my joy" and "my delight"
respectively. The funny thing is, they look NOTHING like me! My two little
blondies take after their father in every way, and that is just fine by me!
They are the reason I scrap, and they, along with their daddy, rock my
world. I get to be a stay-at-home mom, and I absolutely love it.

I enjoy creating cutting and folding templates for little paper bags and
boxes and purses, and all kinds of adorable things that you can put little
gifts in. It started out as a hobby and a way to support my digiscrapping
addiction, but now it's a legitimate business that helps pay the bills!

Tuesday's TJ Community Giveaway:

Kelleigh will give away all future releases from now until December, a $75+ value! I'll post a link
on Tuesday on where to enter by simply leaving a comment.

Thursdays: Q&A with Mom-prenuer & Expert:

Thursday we'll have a question & answer segment with both Ellie & Kelleigh where you can pick their brain and learn all you can from them.

Howdy! My name is Christina "Tina" Winkle but I often go by the name
twinklescrapbooks on forums. When I was in Kindergarten I liked to spend my
time painting, cutting and pasting. Hey, wait, I still do! I am passionate
about crafts and scrapbooking. I am lucky that my husband and son support
and encourage it. We live in Oklahoma City, OK in a tiny cottage home with
too many pets!! I currently work for a national nanny referral service. On
the side I do blog design, tutoring and advertising representation. I have
been on several scrapbook design teams and published in scrapbook and art
magazines and ezines. I love to work in the garden, spend family time
together, go swimming and bake. I love making new friends!!! Feel free to
email me anytime! :)

Hybrid Notebook and a Freebie!

My mom is in the Young Women's presidency in our ward. She had to teach the lesson this past Sunday, and wanted to make notebooks for the girls. I was so excited to use my digi-scrapping skills and my bind it all. While we were browsing ScrapMatters for a suitable kit to use, she came across Britt-ish Designs' Artistic License plates. She fell in love, and we set off to create a similar set based on the LDS YW Values. I thought I would offer our complete set here for free. Maybe some of you other YW leaders can find these useful.

Here's our finished notebook. The girls and leaders all loved them!

New Release: Terrible Twos

I also have something fun in the shop this week. I've been wanting to do a Terrible Twos kit for a while now (and have been working on this for forever!) to celebrate Clark's new desire for independence. All day long I hear that Clark wants to do it by himself. "fyfelf, mom. fyfelf." So...without further ado, here it is...

Terrible Twos by Plum Dumpling Designs

Here's a little inspiration from The Dumpling Gang and from the ScrapMatters CT. I guess temper tantrums are a pretty common experience!!

I made little postcards from this kit to mail out as a thank you for Clark's 2nd birthday party.
There are so many more too! I wasn't able to feature them all. You'll find no shortage of inspiration in the ScrapMatters gallery! Although something tells me that you have the perfect pics that are all the inspiration you need.

Finally, I've also made a little freebie add on for you! Click on the image to dowload.

Enjoy and have a lovely weekend!

August LOs

I can't believe how quickly August came and went! I guess that happens. I didn't have nearly as much creative time this month, but I did make serious progress on decluttering and organizing my schedule. Hopefully this will free up more time, that's the goal, right?!

Enjoy!
